Saigon, Vietnam

Located along one of the busiest roads in Ho Chi MInh City, this apartment was intentionally designed with a large setback to make space for an semi-outdoor pebbled garden to house the heart of the apartment - the kitchen and dining space, which becomes the buffer zone between the outside and the rest of the home. French-styled mild steel windows and doors were custom made and painted in matt black to contrast with the epoxy painted floors. Eclectic furniture and display prints adorn the walls, with creepers and planters hung from salvaged metal screens from the previous owner, now mounted on the ceiling slab. Another highlight would be the bathroom with a courtyard in the center room, which was created from the darkest room in the original layout.
