Singapore

In the smallest floor plate that we have ever undertook (and also the most fast paced!), the design intent of ANAGRAM was to portray the making of speciality coffee as an ART, a DISPLAY of showmanship between the barista, his CRAFT and the produce. By positioning the counter right in the middle of this tiny hole-in-the-wall, the process of creating a cup of coffee takes center stage in this arena, where barista-and-customer interact smoothly. Taking advantage of the high ceiling, an artificial skylight is created, mimicking natural daylight; a suspended ceiling is hung as it frames the back part of the shop where the main action occurs.

Client: Anagram Coffee

Area: 350 sq ft
